MYRTLE BEACH (AP) -- There may not have been as many bikers as in past years, but vendors say they're pleased with sales during the Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson spring bike rally.
Police reported relatively few problems during this year's rally, as the bikers headed out of town Sunday.
Three bikers died in separate wrecks during the weeklong event.
Tina Moore at the Spur Ranch Jewelry booth at the Broadway at the Beach complex told The Sun News of Myrtle Beach she was concerned about sales the first couple of days. But Moore says overall sales were pretty good, considering the slumping economy and rising gas prices.
Myrtle Beach Police Sgt. John Bertang said there were no major traffic problems.
There will be plenty of bikes on the Grand Strand again soon, the Atlantic Beach Bikefest starts Friday.
