Two men arrested, charged with burglary
Two Aiken County men who have been linked to a number of break-ins earlier this year, and indicated in the theft of firearms and other property, have been arrested, officials said.
Daniel Miles, 23, of Joyner Pond Road, is charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of larceny.
Michael Miles, 18, of Cedar Road, is also charged with three counts of burglary and two counts of larceny.
According to arrest warrants, the pair broke into a house in Windsor on Oct. 31 and took property valued at more than $2,000.
On Nov. 8, the men reportedly broke into another Windsor home, taking handguns and other property, officials said.
The following week, on Nov. 16, the men reportedly broke into a third Windsor home, according to officials.
The suspects reportedly took more firearms from that home, deputies said.
Aiken County Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Charles Barranco said the men were detained on the charges Wednesday.
Mitchell Prescott, 23, of Windsor was arrested in November on allegations he was also involved in the break-ins. He has been charged with four counts of burglary and three counts of larceny, and remains incarcerated at the Aiken County detention center.
