It's a horse show that helped to make an indelible imprint while raising money for a disease that impacts the lives of the people it effects and their loved ones.

The Memory Ride Hunter Show, held to raise money and awareness for Alzheimer's disease, was held Sunday at Three Runs Plantations and featured 21 classes, said Memory Ride Hunter Show organizer Lynn Kramp.

"I'm a volunteer at Harbor Chase Assisted Living, and I've helped out with different fundraisers they've been involved with all year long leading up towards the Memory Walk that will be held this Saturday at the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center, and that is a National Alzheimers Association Fundraiser," said Kramp. "I came up with the idea of getting the equestrian community involved and having a fun schooling show to help raise money for Alzheimer's."

Three Runs proved to be the ideal location for the event, Kramp said.

"It's a beautiful facility; they have good footing, great jumps and a pavilion for a nice lunch," said Kramp. "It's just great, and the response has been wonderful."

The classes at the show received an overwhelming response, said Kramp. There were adult, children's, sidesaddle and costume classes at the show.

"I've had a lot of support from the community and the sponsors," Kramp said.

Paradise Farm had five horses at the show in support of Kramp and the Memory Ride, said Lellie Ward of Paradise Farm.

"I think it's a wonderful opportunity to raise money for charity," said Ward. "Lynn has done such a good job in organizing the horse show."
