Shooting in Wagener unsolved
A shooting that occurred in Wagener over the weekend damaged a home but no one was injured. Deputies responded to a call regarding a suspicious vehicle and shots fired at a residence on Jeffcoat Road on Friday, according to a sheriff's report.
While a deputy was speaking with the residents, a vehicle passed, and a shot was fired. The deputy pursued the vehicle which was a silver pickup truck, possibly a Toyota Tacoma with big rims, according to the report.
The deputy was not able to catch the truck, which was heading toward Salley.
The residence had been struck several times by bullets; one shot broke a water pipe.
No arrests were listed in the report.
