Seven face drug charges after raid
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office, with the assistance of law enforcement officers from throughout the area, raided two homes in Monetta on Wednesday where they made a number of arrests and seized crack cocaine, marijuana and more than $3,500 in drug money, officials said.

Bobby Mealing, 50, of 106 Pine Circle in Monetta, is charged with unlawful neglect of a child and three counts of distribution of cocaine, first.
Christopher S. Gray, 30, of 142 Pine Circle in Monetta, is charged with two counts of distribution of cocaine, first; possession of crack cocaine, more than first, and possession of marijuana, more than first.
Brenda Phillips, 42, of 1187 Calhoun St. in Johnston, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Erica Robinson, 37, of 308 Merrick St. in Ridge Spring, is charged with possession of crack cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Mae Key, 50, of 3045 Slide Hill Road in Johnston, is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mario Luna, 38, of 427 Weaver Road in Johnston, is charged with driving under suspension.
The arrests were the result of a month-long narcotics operation, said Sgt. Dave Myers, a sheriff's office spokesperson.
The warrants were served simultaneously at 110 Pine Circle and 51 Elderberry Lane.
Deputies had warrants for Daniels, Mealing and Gray when they searched the homes.
They took the others into custody as a result of the searches, Myers said.
Gray and Mealing were arrested at the Pine Circle home.
The others were at the Elderberry Lane, Myers said.
The Aiken County Sheriff's Office coordinated with the Edgefield County Sheriff's Office and Aiken Department of Public Safety to conduct the search.
Sheriff Michael Hunt said the residences were located where there is high drug traffic.
