Augusta man found dead
An Augusta man was found dead in his car, parked just of Highway 19, Wednesday morning, officials said.
The 36-year-old man died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, said Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton.
His car was discovered on Morris Bottom Road, near Highway 19 around 6:45 a.m. The man likely committed suicide about 12 hours before.
The incident is under investigation.
