Man charged with trafficking cocaine
A North Augusta man jailed this weekend is accused of trafficking crack cocaine on Crestland and Seymour drives in North Augusta, according to arrest warrants.
Jemared Demarion Axen, 20, of Amos Court, is charged with trafficking crack cocaine and trafficking crack cocaine within a half-mile of a school.
The man was arrested Thursday after deputies found he had more than 10 grams of crack cocaine hidden inside his body.
He was jailed early Friday, and his bond was set at $50,000.
Churches to hold community meet
Two local churches are asking residents in the area of Vaucluse Road in Aiken to attend a neighborhood meeting June 9 at 7 p.m. at Memorial Baptist Church, 3100 Vaucluse Road, to share community concerns and discuss personal and home protection. City meeting on curfew is today
City officials will hold a public meeting to discuss the proposed Youth Protection Ordinance today. The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in rooms 1 and 2 of the H. Odell Weeks Activities Center at 1700 Whiskey Road. The public is invited and encouraged to attend and give input.
Bowlings to be in concert Friday
