According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:


Two 14-year-old North Augusta girls were detained for shoplifting on Monday after they tried to take $80 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.


A 49-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take alcoholic drinks from a store on York Street without paying.


A 40-year-old Augusta man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take $255 in electronics from a store by concealing them.


A 32-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Sunday after he struck a fence on Brucewood Street. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests and provided a breath sample that yielded a .19 percent blood-alcohol content.


A 66-year-old Aiken man was detained for DUI on Saturday after he was pulled over on Banks Mill Road for drifting in his lane. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests. He provided a breath sample that yielded a blood-alcohol content of .11 percent.


A 28-year-old Ooltewah, Tennessee, man was detained for DUI on Friday after a collision on Barnard Avenue. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests, and was also charged with simple possession of marijuana and open container.


A 22-year-old Aiken woman said she was assaulted by a 20-year-old man on Friday while she was trying to break up a fight between the suspect and her sister.


Gunshots were reported on Greenwich Drive at 12:55 a.m. Saturday and on Vincent Avenue at 3:45 a.m. Saturday. Officers investigated but were unable to find evidence of shots fired.


Burglaries were reported on Richland Avenue on Friday, York Street on Sunday and Augustus Drive on Monday.


A vehicle was reported stolen on Marlboro Street on Sunday.

An Aiken man reported a firearm missing from his vehicle while it was parked at a repair shop on Jefferson Davis Highway in Graniteville.


A North Augusta man reported two guns stolen from his home on Cherokee Drive on Monday.


An unknown man shoplifted several items from a store on Old 96 Indian Trail in Batesburg on Monday.


Burglaries were reported on Talatha Church Road in Aiken, Augusta Road in Warrenville, Ella Circle in Aiken, Coker Drive in Aiken and Holder Road in Batesburg.


Vehicle break-ins were reported on Big Cane Drive in North Augusta, Breeze Hill Road in Warrenville and Iroquois Street in Aiken.


A vehicle was reported stolen from Bayberry Street in Warrenville on Sunday.
