According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

An Aiken business owner reported about $4,000 in tools stolen from a trailer parked at a construction site on Columbia Avenue on Tuesday.

A 33-year-old woman was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after two women she was with took items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying. The woman reportedly didn’t conceal any items but was aware the shoplifting was going on.

An Aiken man on Tuesday reported a gun stolen from his vehicle while it was parked on Almond Drive.

An Aiken woman reported an electronic tablet stolen from her home on Congress Drive on Tuesday.

An Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that an unknown person threw a rock through a window of her home on Plunkett Avenue.

Burglaries were reported on Laurens Street and Freiday Lane.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Greenville Street on Tuesday. The owner reported a purse missing.

Gunshots were reported on Edgefield Avenue at about 4:20 a.m. Wednesday. Officers investigated but could not find evidence of shots fired.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A 30-year-old Irving, Texas, woman was detained for criminal domestic violence on Tuesday after she allegedly slapped her boyfriend in the face during an argument.

A Pelion man allegedly used his company credit card fraudulently to make personal purchases in Aiken County after being terminated from his Augusta employer.

A 50-year-old Warrenville woman was detained for disorderly conduct on Tuesday after yelling obscenities at an officer who stopped to assist her on Augusta Road. The woman was reportedly intoxicated.

Burglaries were reported on Dry Branch Road in Aiken, Kenmont Street in Aiken and Lighthouse Lane in North Augusta.
