Changes come to Jackets Nest

  • Tuesday, August 19, 2014

The first home varsity football game will be on Friday, Aug. 22, at 7:30 p.m. The Yellow Jackets will host Lakeside High School from Evans, Georgia. The school is hoping for a large crowd to cheer the Jackets to victory.

There are a couple of important changes to pregame activities and patron parking. Everyone is invited to a pregame concert in the gym/auditorium plaza performed by the Jacket Regiment. The band will be performing the traditional selections as well as music from the half-time show. The Jacket Regiment concert will begin at 6:40 p.m.

At approximately 6:55 p.m., the Jacket Regiment will step off from the gym/auditorium plaza and march to the football stadium via Jacket Lane and Knobcone Avenue. Everyone is encouraged to participate in the march and follow the band to the stadium.

As a result of the current renovations to campus, parking will be limited to the gravel parking lot directly behind the home stands and the paved parking spaces in front of the main buildings on campus. Everyone is encouraged to arrive early and enjoy the pregame festivities in order to avoid traffic congestion.

The administration at North Augusta High School wishes to thank everyone in advance for their patience with the construction during this time of growth for the campus. As a small gesture of appreciation to the loyal fans, all general parking will be free this year.

Thank you for your loyal support of our beloved Yellow Jackets. We hope to see you Friday night in the Jackets Nest.
