NAMES & NOTES: Burke receives Eagle Scout

  • Tuesday, August 12, 2014

Reagan Samuel Burke, grandson of Martha A. Corkrin, Merriwether Area in North Augusta, received his Eagle Scout award during an Honor Court on June 28. His brother Taylor, an Eagle Scout in 2012, gave a presentation in honor of his brother.

In mid-July, Reagan played his senior piano recital on the grand piano in the lobby of the Wilcox Hotel in Aiken. His selections, chosen from his favorite video games, impressed both visitors and hotel staff. His longtime teacher was Camille Miles Rosier.

He graduated with honors from South Aiken Baptist Christian School and will enter fall semester at Clemson University.

Taylor is a junior at Clemson, and spent most of the summer in Japan tutoring Japanese students in English.

Reagan and Taylor are the sons of David and Tami Burke of Spyglass Drive, Aiken. Tami is a graduate of North Augusta High School and Clemson University.
