According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 65-year-old Aiken man reported fraud on Monday after an unknown person used his medical insurance information to receive services multiple times at Aiken Regional Medical Centers.

A 28-year-old Aiken man was detained for criminal domestic violence on Monday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend while he was intoxicated.

An unknown man tried to shoplift about $138 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue on Monday.

A burglary was reported on Palm Drive on Monday. The owner reported video games and cash missing.

An additional burglary was reported on Bevington Drive on Monday. The owner reported electronics missing.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Richland Avenue on Monday. The owner reported a laptop, an electronic tablet and a wedding ring missing from the vehicle, which was unlocked.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A 17-year-old North Augusta woman was detained for assault and battery on Monday after she allegedly threw a family member into a book shelf after the victim tried to take her phone as “punishment.”

A 52-year-old Allendale man was detained for disorderly conduct on Saturday after he was found walking in the roadway of Chime Bell Church Road in Aiken. The man smelled of alcohol and was carrying a beer in his hand.

A 32-year-old Gilbert man was detained for criminal domestic violence on Sunday after he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at her Rankin Road home in Monetta.

Two North Augusta women were detained for shoplifting on Monday after they tried to take electronic items from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater without paying.

A 47-year-old North Augusta man was detained for shoplifting on Monday after he tried to take lottery tickets from a store on Augusta Road in Warrenville without paying.

A 61-year-old Aiken woman reported identity theft on Monday after an unknown person tried to obtain credit using her Social Security number.

A burglary was reported on Langley Cemetery Road in Warrenville on Monday. The owner reported electronics, video games and DVDs, sporting equipment, NASCAR memorabilia and tools missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Silver Bluff Road in Jackson, Hollow Hill Drive in Beech Island, Foreman Road in Jackson and Coker Drive in Aiken.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Old Barnwell Road in Aiken, Wythe Drive in Graniteville and Wickham Drive in Graniteville.

Vehicles were reported stolen from Motlow Drive in Graniteville and Foreman Road in Jackson.
