The Aiken Department of Public Safety is investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend at a local club.


No injuries were reported in the incident that happened at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday at Club Deuces located off of York Street.


The disturbance started within the club, and security escorted out one individual. Thatís when the situation escalated, according to a report.


Several fights broke out in the parking lot, and one of the clubís security guards was struck in the face. Three to four shots were then heard from somewhere in the middle of the parking lot.


Police were told that the shooter was possibly grabbed by several other people, and thrown into a car that fled the scene.


Two shell casings were located in the parking lot by investigators. Several other people were interviewed by police, but no other useful information was given.
