Augusta-area serial killer Reinaldo Rivera was the focus of an episode of “Southern Fried Homicide” on Investigation Discovery on Thursday. Rivera was convicted in January 2004 of malice murder, three counts of rape, four counts of aggravated sodomy, four counts of aggravated assault, burglary and possession of a knife during the commission of a crime. He was sentenced to death. Two of Rivera’s victims, 17-year-old Tiffaney Wilson and 17-year-old Melissa Dingess, were residents of Aiken County. A film crew recorded at locations around the Summerville Campus of Georgia Regents University, at an area bed and breakfast and with the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office over two days in February, according to Georgia Regents University.
