The 21st Annual Border Bash event will include a Grammy Award-winning singer.

Kristian Bush, who makes up one half of the platinum-selling country duo Sugarland, will perform at the Augusta Common on Sept. 12. The Joe Stevenson Band will be back for a seventh year to play a few fan favorites before Bush hits the stage, according to a press release.

USC and UGA Cheerleaders, Hairy Dawg & Cocky will also be at the big celebration. Vendors, food, drinks and games will all be available at the Border Bash.

Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. Children ages 12 and younger will be admitted for free. VIP tickets, which include preferred viewing, food and drinks are available for $50 for adults and $10 for children. Those tickets will be available online only at

Gates open at 4 p.m. at Augusta Common, located at 836 Reynolds St., Augusta.

Border Bash is a celebration of the football rivalry between border state schools – the University of Georgia and the University of South Carolina. Proceeds from the event go towards supporting CSRA children’s charities and clubs.
