The United Way of Aiken County will hold its annual “Stuff the Bus” component of its school tools program on Friday at the three Wal-Mart stores in the county.

United Way officials are asking county residents to donate school supplies from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wal-Marts on Richland Street and Whisky Road in Aiken and on Knox Avenue in North Augusta. Actual school buses are expected to be at each site.

The school tools program ends on Friday, and residents may also leave donations at the United Way office on Barnwell Street in Aiken by Friday. Donations of money are also accepted. Each school will receive supplies in August.

The schools need such items as pencils, pens, binders and crayons. A complete list can be found at the main page under “School Tools.” For additional information, call (803) 648-8331.
