According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
An Aiken woman reported fraud on Friday after an unknown man called her and told her she had broken the law by applying for too many loans. The suspect told the victim she could avoid jail by purchasing a money card with $195 on it, then calling him back with the card information. The victim did as she was told, and the suspect activated the card.
A North Augusta man was detained for disorderly conduct on Friday after he was found lying in the roadway on Cherokee Drive in North Augusta. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication.
A burglary was reported at a home on Storm Branch Road in Beech Island on Friday. The owner reported games missing.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Franks Drive in Aiken on Friday.
A bicycle was reported stolen from Sarah Street in Warrenville on Friday.
