According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A dryer was reported stolen from the back porch of a home on Union Street on Tuesday.
Rocking chairs were reported stolen from the porch of a home on Cushman Drive on Wednesday.
A 24-year-old North Augusta woman was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after she tried to take $15 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
Gunshots were reported on Hampton Avenue about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday. Officers investigated but were unable to find any evidence of shots fired.
According to the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A New Ellenton woman reported on Wednesday that an unknown person took three checks from her mailbox on Pineview Drive.
A Monetta woman reported on Tuesday that an unknown person tried to pry open a door on her vehicle while it was parked on Old 96 Indian Trail in Monetta.
An Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that her boyfriend assaulted her after accusing her of cheating on him.
Scaffolding was reported stolen from a home on Broadwater Loop in Aiken on Wednesday.
A burglary was reported on Legion Road in Aiken on Wednesday. The owner reported medication missing.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Chestnut Avenue in North Augusta on Wednesday.
