According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 44-year-old Aiken man was detained for criminal domestic violence on Saturday after he allegedly assaulted his wife and threatened to kill her during an argument.

A 48-year-old Warrenville man was detained for DUI on Saturday after a collision on Richland Avenue. The man smelled of alcohol and exhibited signs of intoxication. He was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests, and provided a breath sample that yielded a .22 percent blood-alcohol content.

An unknown man shoplifted about $960 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue on Friday.

A 32-year-old North Augusta man was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take a drill set from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

A 33-year-old New Ellenton woman was detained for shoplifting on Friday after she tried to take $65 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.

A 16-year-old Warrenville boy was detained for shoplifting on Friday after he tried to take $59 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.

A 26-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Friday after she tried to take $260 in merchandise from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.

Two women, ages 17 and 18, were detained for shoplifting on Saturday after they tried to take $85 in beauty items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

An Aiken woman reported on Friday that someone entered her York Street home and broke the glass door of her microwave.

An Aiken man reported a firearm stolen from his car while it was parked on Marlboro Street on Saturday.

A gunshot was reported at about 3:40 a.m. on Monday in the area of Colleton Avenue and Charleston Street. Officers investigated but were unable to find any evidence of shots fired.

Police responded to an alarm caused by an open door at a restaurant on Whiskey Road at about 11 p.m. on Friday. Officers cleared the building and secured the door.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A burglary was reported at a home on Brownstone Drive in Beech Island on Saturday. The owner reported food items missing.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Roundstone Drive in Graniteville on Sunday. The owner reported a purse and its contents missing.
