According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A Salley man reported on Saturday that someone took his 1998 Kawasaki 1100 STX jet ski that was in a garage at a home on Hollow Creek Road.

A Windsor man reported on Saturday that someone took a metal carport that was at his home on Sandy Hollow Road.

A Warrenville man reported on Saturday that an air conditioning unit, valued at $2,500, had been stolen from a home on Glover Street.

A Gloverville man, who lives on Pine Street, reported on Saturday that he had left his Springfield pistol in the glove compartment of a vehicle owned by a North Augusta man. The victim said he had contacted the vehicle’s owner multiple times asking him to bring the pistol back. The gun had not been returned.

A 49-year-old West Columbia man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Saturday after he grabbed the door handle of a patrol car while it was stopped at the intersection of Myrtle Street and Augusta Road in Warrenville. The man talked loudly and his speech was slurred, according to the officer involved in the incident. The officer also reported smelling “a strong odor of alcohol” on the subject.

A suspicious fire was reported near the intersection of Hackney Street and Turnbull Street in Warrenville on Sunday. When the responding officer arrived following a phone call about a loud explosion, a shed behind a house was burning. The officer and the responding fire department personnel determined that “an unknown object caused the shed to explode from the inside.”

A burglary was reported at a home on Hillview Circle in Aiken on Saturday. A back window was broken during the incident.

An Aiken man reported a burglary at a home on Desoto Drive in Aiken on Friday. Jewelry and other items valued at $4,500 were missing, and there was $100 in damage to a door.

A North Augusta man reported on Friday that there had been a burglary at his home on Second Avenue. The multiple items taken were valued at $5,591, and there was $40 worth of damage to a bedroom window that had been broken.

An Aiken woman reported on Friday that her vehicle had been damaged while it was in the parking lot at Rural Health Services on Augusta Road in Clearwater. According to the responding officer, there was a white and black streak of paint along the lower panel of the driver’s side of the vehicle and the panel had a large dent in it.

A Beech Island man reported a suspicious vehicle fire on Bay Street on Friday. When the responding officer arrived, the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames. The complainant said he heard a loud crash and a horn going off. Then, he said, he saw a white male leaving the area. The subject was wearing gray shorts with a black strip down the side and a black baseball cap that was turned around backward. He didn’t have a shirt on, and both of his arms had tattoos.

A North Augusta man reported on Friday that a computer and a firearm were taken from his home on Corley Drive.

A Graniteville man reported on Friday that tools and a shotgun were taken from a shed in the backyard of his home on West Avenue. He said the shed’s door, which was locked, was damaged.

A Windsor woman reported on Friday that someone had damaged a window in her house Oak Ridge Club Road. According to the responding officer, there was a “tiny” hole in the window with a “marking” around it.

A 54-year-old Beech Island man reported on Friday that a piece of farm equipment was stolen from his home. The victim said he saw a white male walk across his yard and get into a vehicle driven by a white female. The vehicle then left the scene. The victim followed the vehicle for a while before losing it.

A 56-year-old Beech Island man reported on Friday that tools, household items and vehicle parts were taken from a shed on his property on Herndon Dairy Road. According to the responding officer, there were tire tracks leading away from the shed that went into the woods.
