The public is invited to the Aiken County Democratic Party’s open house at its new headquarters tonight.

From 7 to 9 p.m., individuals can drop in at any time for refreshments and to meet a number of Democratic candidates who ran or are running for office.

Ginny Deerin, the Democratic candidate for S.C. Secretary of State, and S.C. House District 84 candidate Rosie Berry will be in attendance.

Democratic candidates Tom Thompson, and possibly Sheila Gallagher, who are both running for the S.C. Superintendent of Education seat, will be in attendance during the open house. Thompson and Gallagher will face off in the South Carolina primary runoff next Tuesday.

Democrat Ed Greenleaf, who ran against Phil Black in the South Carolina primary for the U.S. Congressional District 2 seat, will be the Aiken County Democratic Party’s guest.

The Aiken County Democratic Party’s headquarters is located at 831 Hayne Ave.

Parking will be available at 151 Waterloo St. at Access Chiropractic and along Hayne Avenue, east of the traffic light.

The Aiken County Democratic Party asks that drivers not park in the funeral home parking lot on the corner next to Access Chiropractic.
