I am both deeply grateful and humbled by the results of the primary election Tuesday night. I feel so blessed to have the support and confidence of all of the people who supported me: my family and friends.

The people who donated and gave their time, as well as all of the folks who voted for me. I thank Mike Stake for running a positive campaign, and I wish him the very best in his future endeavors.

This win is a team victory. I could not have asked for a better group of people to work with on this campaign, their professionalism and enthusiasm was superb and their commitment to the basic principles that I ran on is unprecedented. They are the best.

This is the first leg of a journey we started in February and if all goes well in November, I eagerly anticipate being seated as the next Aiken County Council representative for District 2.

I look forward to working with the staff and elected officials to continue making Aiken County thebest place in this country to live, work and be educated.

There are so many other people I want to sincerely thank, but mostly I thank God for all he has given me. It is through him and with him that I will serve the people of this county.
