Over the past several weeks, employees, friends and family members of the MOX Services team raised $57,010 for Children’s Place, the largest amount ever raised by the company.
“Every year, we make a concerted effort to do our part in helping to raise as much money as possible from our MOX family for Children’s Place,” said Kelly Trice, president and CEO for the MOX project, who also served as a Celebrity Waiter Night host this year. “This was an exceptional year for our employees and their generosity. I am very proud of the effort they made this year.”
MOX Services raised the money through a series of events, including Celebrity Waiter Night and the MOX Children’s Place golf tournament at Woodside Plantation Country Club. Other fundraising activities included bake sales, lunches for MOX employees and an auction.
Children’s Place is a child and family development center serving at-risk children in Aiken County. MOX has raised funds for the nonprofit for the past eight years.
Funds raised from the Celebrity Waiter event included a $5 donation from each meal and tips from the diners, who were served by the volunteer waiters from MOX Services at Travinia Italian Kitchen in Aiken.
