An Aiken man was detained for disorderly conduct after he allegedly call the police on himself for trespassing at his own home, according to the Aiken Department of Public Safety.
Jimmie Johnson, 61, of Sumter Street, was placed in the Aiken County detention center, where he remained on Monday afternoon.
Police were called to Johnson’s home on Sumter Street at about 2:45 a.m. on Saturday, according to an incident report. Johnson reportedly called law enforcement on himself “because he was trespassing at that residence.”
“I arrived on scene and found Mr. Johnson on the porch,” the officer wrote. “Mr. Johnson was highly intoxicated and stated that he needed to go to jail.”
