School board to hold public hearing on budget

The Aiken County Board of Education will hold a public hearing on the 2014-15 budget on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

All county residents are invited to discuss the budget. The Board members are not raising taxes this year on general operations and debt service, which includes new construction and maintenance. General operations includes funds for salaries and fringe benefits. The Board will give a third and final reading at a meeting on Tuesday, June 24.

Itís members meet at the District office, located at 1000 Brookhaven Drive.

Following the public hearing, the regular meeting will begin.
