A North Augusta woman reported that she was robbed by a man wielding a knife Thursday afternoon.

The incident occurred on the 1900 block of Edgefield Highway in Aiken at about 4 p.m., according to a sheriff’s report. No injuries were reported.

The woman said the subject called her asking for a ride. She picked him up at his Graniteville residence, and when they reached their destination, he presented the knife.

He held the knife to her side and took more than $1,000 from her wallet, the report read. The man then exited her vehicle and fled.
