According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A burglary was reported at a home on Laurel Drive on Tuesday. The owner reported lawn maintenance equipment missing.
A 49-year-old Aiken woman reported a television missing from her home on Newberry Street on Wednesday.
Two women were detained for shoplifting on Wednesday after they tried to take shirts from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Wheeler Drive on Wednesday. The owner reported a GPS device and USB hubs missing from the vehicle, which was unlocked.
Additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Silver Bluff Road, York Street and Gyles Road.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Richland Avenue on Wednesday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriffís Office:
A 36-year-old Warrenville man was scammed out of more than $1,700 by a man posing as an employee of SCE&G. The victim said the suspect told him his bill was overdue, and that his power would be cut off unless he went to a store and get three money cards in the amount of about $1,700.
A laptop was reported stolen from a home on Hancock Road in Aiken on Wednesday.
Copper wiring was reported stolen from a business on Wagener Road in Aiken on Wednesday.
Burglaries were reported on Burnhill Road in Warrenville and Stone Drive in Aiken.
