According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An unknown woman shoplifted two tubes of Dramamine motion sickness medication from a store on Richland Avenue on Monday. The woman reportedly paid for about $185 in merchandise before fleeing but left the paid-for merchandise in the store.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
An Augusta man reported on Monday that an unknown person took his 20-gauge shotgun from his room at a motel on Richland Avenue.
A Windsor man was detained for disorderly conduct on Monday after officers saw him riding very unsteadily on his bicycle on Windsor Road near Charleston Highway. The man exhibited signs of intoxication and was taken into custody. He was also charged with possession of marijuana after officers booking him into the jail found a green leafy substance in his pocket.
A prowler was reported outside a home on Cato Road in Warrenville on Monday. The victim said she saw the man walking around outside and confronted him. He reportedly told her he was looking at the house because it was for sale and he was looking for something to buy. The woman told officers she’d had a burglary in the past and wanted the incident documented, but officers couldn’t make contact with the suspect.
An Aiken man reported seeing an unknown man walk through a yard on Joyner Pond Road. The homeowner reported that the man entered the home, but nothing appeared to be missing.
A burglary was reported on Hill Street in North Augusta on Monday. The owner reported a stereo and an iPad missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Trojan Road in Ridge Spring, Seven Oaks Court in Ridge Spring and Forest Trail Court in Aiken.
Fertilizer was reported stolen from Pottery Mill Drive in Jackson on Monday.
A Warrenville woman reported vandalism on Monday after an unknown person busted her vehicle’s windshield and dented the vehicle on Glover Street.
