According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 30-year-old Aiken woman was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after she tried to take a phone charger from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.

A 61-year-old Aiken man reported on Thursday that someone keyed his car while it was parked on Congress Drive.

A burglary was reported on Brandt Court on Friday. The owner reported change, perfume and food missing.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

A 46-year-old Aiken man reported on Thursday that he found a .38-caliber handgun on the ground while walking on Wire Road near Kedron Church Road.

A 61-year-old Aiken woman reported identity theft on Thursday after learning that someone opened multiple credit card accounts in her name.

A burglary was reported at a home on Goldenrod Way in Warrenville on Wednesday. The owner reported tools, electronics, jewelry and coins missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Hamelin Road in Aiken and Waycross Drive in Warrenville.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Pine Log Road in Beech Island on Wednesday.
