Six Aiken County School District students have been recognized for perfect attendance throughout 12 years in school.
The students are Cameron Banks, Dyuan Green and Brett Watkins, of Midland Valley High School; Kimberly Vinson, of Aiken High School; and Karly Kinard and Cassidy Pedro, of Silver Bluff High.
One school statewide had four students to meet that goal. Midland Valley is one of three schools with three students who had no absences during their carers.
“These extraordinary students are to be commended for their dedication,” Mick Zais, the state superintendent of education, said in a press release. “Going to school for over 2,000 days consecutively is an incredible achievement ... I’d like to recognize the tireless dedication these students and their families showed to their education.”
