According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 77-year-old Aiken man reported forgery on Thursday after learning that someone wrote nearly 20 checks totaling about $6,900 from his checking account.

An 8-year-old Aiken girl was shot in the eye with a BB gun by a juvenile boy who was playing with the gun outside the girl’s window on Thursday. The girl’s eye was swollen, but the BB didn’t break the skin. The girl’s family declined to press charges.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

Burglaries were reported on Fig Tree Court in North Augusta and Howard Road in Beech Island.

Vehicle break-ins were reported on Pipeline Road in Aiken and Gardenview Drive in Graniteville.

A vehicle was reported stolen from Jefferson Davis Highway in Clearwater on Thursday.
