A born and raised Aiken resident is in trouble. Some of you, who have bought furniture at Lawsons – before it closed – or Farmers Home Furniture will remember Vicki Reynolds. She always made her customers into friends with her outstanding attention and expertise.

Friends and relatives just love her for her great sense of humor and personality. Vicki also worked at Dr. D.E. Greer’s office as a medical receptionist for a number of years.

Three months ago, Vicki was diagnosed with Stage III Multiple Myeloma. It is a very painful cancer that attacks the bones and bone marrow. Vickie is fighting a valiant battle. Her treatments are expensive, and she does not have health insurance.

Her friends have set up a fund at Southern Bank & Trust, located on Pine Log Road across from Kroger, on her behalf to help her mounting expenses. Donations can be sent or dropped off at Southern Bank & Trust. Any funds raised will only go to pay medical bills. I am a Yankee transplant, here since 2006. I met Vickie while working at Lawsons. I am proud to her friend. Please help if you can.
