The Aiken Department of Public Safety is looking for a man allegedly connected to a shooting that left another man injured.
Kaelin Kearse, 19, of Aiken, is wanted for attempted murder, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime and unlawful carrying of a firearm, according to a press release.
According to a police report, a man suffered an apparent gun shot wound to the left side of his torso after an altercation escalated, and he was shot. Officers met the victim on Chatham Street at about 12:44 a.m., and investigators believe the incident occurred on the 500 block of Palm Drive, according to the release.
The victim was transported to Georgia Regents University.
