According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:


A Beech Island man reported a yellow Dewalt radio was stolen from the back porch of his Pineland Drive home.


Firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on Front Street in Bath on Thursday after a deputy observed smoke coming from the front window and flames in the rear seat and passenger side. The deputy also observed a white male subject run from the vehicle and into a house at the same location. The deputy advised everyone in the house to exit and juvenile investigators were notified of the incident.


A Beech Island woman reported her roommate took 28 oxycodone pills from her purse without her permission at a residence on Beech Island Avenue.


According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:


An Aiken man was transported to the hospital on Thursday after he was found bleeding from a cut on his head at the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office. The victim only stated that “the suspect hit him in the head” and that the incident occurred “down the street.” The victim could not provide his home address and was “very intoxicated and uncooperative.”


A North Augusta woman reported she left her cellphone at a Richland Avenue Walmart register and, when she returned to collect it, was told a man had picked it up and walked out of the store with it. The man was described as a white male, around 6-feet tall, with a long beard and blonde and gray hair, wearing jeans and a red top.


A juvenile was released to her mother after she reportedly attempted to steal a $69 gold Betsy Johnson watch from Dillard’s on Thursday.


Officers responded to reports of threats on Thursday against Schofield Middle School. During class, one subject allegedly told a witness he was going to “shoot up the school tonight at Night of Arts.” The school was put on extra patrol.


Two women were placed on trespass notice and arrested for shoplifting after they reportedly took clothes off the shelves in the Richland Avenue Walmart and stuffed them in a purse. Both suspects had young children with them and had family pick up the children.
