Additional reward offered for arrest in loan office robberies

Additional reward money is being offered for information leading to the arrests of suspects involved in multiple armed robberies of loan facilities in Aiken and Barnwell counties. EVP Local Finance is offering an additional $2,500 for information leading to the arrests of the individuals that robbed their facilities.

The Local Finance and Tax Service on York Street in Aiken was robbed on March 28 and April 8 by two unknown men armed with handguns.

The Local Finance and Tax Service on Ellenton Street in Barnwell was robbed by three unknown men with handguns on April 2.

Anyone with information leading to an arrest can call Crimestoppers of the Midlands at 888-CRIME-SC. Callers will remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
