According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 58-year-old Aiken man reported fraud on Tuesday after his bank notified him of suspicious activity on his account. The victim said an unknown suspect also tried to open credit card accounts at multiple stores in his name.

A 34-year-old man was detained for shoplifting on Tuesday after he tried to take about $200 in merchandise from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:

An Aiken woman reported on Friday that an unknown person entered her Snipes Road home and took a rifle.

A 62-year-old Aiken man reported identity theft on Monday after someone tried to open a credit card account and two checking accounts in his name.

A burglary was reported at a business on Jefferson Davis Highway in North Augusta on Monday. The owner reported nine televisions missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Hampton Avenue in Aiken and Pine Street in Warrenville.
