The Aiken Visitors Center and Train Museum wants friendly, upbeat individuals to participate in a volunteer recruitment workshop on Wednesday.

From 9 to 10 a.m. at the Visitors Center, located at 406 Park Ave., City of Aiken Tourism Clerk Nicole Przybylowicz will lead individuals in a workshop detailing the many volunteer duties and volunteer expectations at the Visitors Center.

Duties include assisting visitors with questions, greeting the public, sharing the history of Aiken, answering phones, assisting group tours and clerical work. The City of Aiken asks that volunteers be concerned with quality customer service, have a friendly personality and enthusiasm for the City of Aiken and its history.

The Visitors Center is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Volunteers interested in the program or those planning to attend should call Przybylowicz at 803-643-2119 or email
