According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A 74-year-old Aiken woman reported her purse stolen on Wednesday after she left it in a shopping cart at a store on Whiskey Road. The woman said she went back to the store and the purse was gone.

A 54-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Thursday after he tried to take several food items from a store on Whiskey Road without paying.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office:

An unknown man shoplifted a prepaid cellphone from a store on Jefferson Davis Highway in Beech Island on Thursday.

A Graniteville woman reported financial transaction card fraud on Thursday after someone made multiple fraudulent transactions on her card, which was stolen in a recent vehicle break-in.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Winding Trail Road in Graniteville on Thursday. The owner reported a gun and sunglasses reported missing from the unlocked vehicle.

Additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Gilmore Avenue in North Augusta, Sharyn Lane in Aiken, Natures Trail Place in Graniteville, Pendulum Drive in Graniteville, Red Rock Way in Graniteville and Dragstrip Road in Jackson.

A burglary was reported on Kedron Church Road in Aiken on Thursday. A generator was reported missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Pine Log Road in Warrenville, Gregg Street in Graniteville and Cheyenne Circle in North Augusta.
