The Aiken County Board of Education will receive a preliminary 2014-15 budget document from School District administrators on Tuesday at 7 p.m.

To date, the Board has participated in six budget work sessions. A tentative budget is scheduled on May 13. The Board is scheduled to deliver a final vote on June 24.

In other business:

Aiken High School state champions with the Family Career and Community Leaders and America chapter will be recognized at the Board meeting.

Administrative appointments will be announced following a closed session.

Aiken Middle School received $19,297 by the State Department of Education. The funds were allocated through additional federal Title I support to improve academic performance.

Previously, that school, Lloyd-Kennedy Charter School and Ridge Spring-Monetta Elementary-Middle School had shared a $67,469 allocation.

The Board meets at the District Office, 1000 Brookhaven Drive.
