Deputies search for suspect in Graniteville shooting

Authorities are looking for a man possibly involved in a shooting that occurred on Friday afternoon in Graniteville.

According to dispatch, they received a call about a shooting incident on Brooks Street. According to Sheriff's Office spokesman Sgt. Jason Feemster, the house in which the incident occurred is known for drug activity.

Dispatch was told that the victim was apparently taking themselves to the hospital but law enforcement was unable to locate the individual or confirm any injuries. The subject fled on foot and was described as a black male, who was armed with a shotgun, wearing a blue and white shirt and blue jeans, according to scanner traffic.

Feemster said the incident is currently under investigation.
