According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
A 55-year-old Aiken man was detained for soliciting without a license on Friday after he tried to ask multiple people outside a Laurens Street business for money.
A 63-year-old Olar woman was detained for shoplifting on Friday after she tried to take several items from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 23-year-old Aiken man was detained for shoplifting on Saturday after he tried to take items from a store in Aiken Mall without paying.
A 31-year-old Jackson woman was jailed for shoplifting on Sunday after she tried to take $300 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 51-year-old Aiken woman was detained for DUI on Saturday after she was seen getting out of her vehicle stopped in the roadway of Laurens Street near Richland Avenue, and walking away. The woman exhibited signs of intoxication and failed multiple field sobriety tests. She provided a breath sample that yielded a .09 percent blood-alcohol content.
A 23-year-old Columbia man was detained for DUI on Monday after he was pulled over on Richland Avenue for loud music. The man smelled strongly of alcohol and was taken into custody after failing multiple field sobriety tests. He provided a breath sample that yielded a .21 percent blood-alcohol content.
A 20-year-old Aiken man was jailed for shoplifting on Sunday after he tried to take several items from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.
A 38-year-old Williston woman was detained for gross intoxication on Thursday after she was found intoxicated and creating a disturbance at a convenience store on Hampton Avenue.
A burglary was reported at a home on Bunche Terrace on Friday. The owner reported electronics and clothing missing.
A vehicle break-in was reported on Woodbine Road on Thursday. The owner reported a jacket and shirts missing from the unlocked vehicle.
Additional vehicle break-ins were reported on Woodbine Road on Thursday and Richland Avenue on Friday.
A vehicle was reported stolen from Corporate Parkway on Sunday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A 31-year-old Williston woman reported vandalism on Saturday after an unknown person broke the windshield and windows on her vehicle on Old Barnwell Road.
A 31-year-old Aiken woman reported credit card fraud on Saturday after learning that an unknown person made an unauthorized transaction on her card.
A burglary was reported at a home on Myrtle Street in Warrenville on Sunday. The owner reported electronics missing.
Additional burglaries were reported on Camash Circle in Beech Island, Tabernacle Road in Salley, Fields Cemetery Road in Graniteville, Breezy Hill Road in Graniteville, Ward Circle in Aiken and Ruby Street in Warrenville.
Vehicles were reported stolen from Les Drive in Warrenville, Rushton Road in Aiken and Ascauga Lake Road in Graniteville.
