According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:

A burglary was reported at a home on Wyman Street on Wednesday. The owner reported electronics, a firearm, cash and clothing missing.

A 52-year-old North Augusta man was jailed for shoplifting on Thursday after he tried to take $300 in merchandise from a store on Richland Avenue without paying.

A 68-year-old Aiken woman reported on Wednesday that someone broke out a window in her vehicle on Jehossee Drive.

Gunshots were reported on Bradby Lane about 10:37 p.m. on Thursday. Officers investigated but were not able to find evidence of shots fired.

According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff's Office:

A burglary was reported on Augusta Road in Clearwater on Thursday. The owner reported a television and a laptop missing.

Additional burglaries were reported on Acorn Lane in Aiken, Old Tory Trail in Aiken and Hill Street in Clearwater.

A 29-year-old Warrenville woman reported identity theft on Thursday after learning that someone obtained a bank loan in her name.

A Beech Island man reported gunshots on Hazel Grove at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. A vehicle allegedly slowed down and fired three to four shots from an unknown kind of gun. Officers could not locate the vehicle.

A vehicle break-in was reported on Emerald Ridge in Aiken on Wednesday.
