Every year in April, the world descends on our area to witness a golf game. In keeping with the time of the year, the Arts and Heritage Center of North Augusta is hosting an exhibit featuring golf artworks by local artists, along with memorabilia from Augusta National and local golf courses, photos of the Masters Golf Tournament, and a one-of-a-kind golf cart. They will also have a display produced by the RECing Crew, as well as First Tee of Augusta and Aiken.
The Swing Into Art exhibit will be up for the month of April and will open with a reception on Thursday, April 3, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Included as a special feature of the reception is a concert by the U.S. Army Signal Corps Band. The reception is free and open to the public.
The Arts and Heritage Center is also hosting a free children’s workshop on Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is offered for children ages 5 to 12 and will feature a craft in making egg carton flower bouquets. All supplies are provided, as well as drinks and cookies. Parents are asked to stay in the facility while their children take part in the program. If interested, call the center at 802-441-4380 to register your child.
