AWENDAW — The USC Aiken men’s golf team posted a 10th-place finish at the prestigious Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate, which wrapped up Tuesday afternoon.
The Pacers, ranked second in the nation, were the lone Division II team in the field.
Leading the way for USCA was Brandon Robinson-Thompson, who tied for third with a 6-under par, 210, score for the 54-hole event. Robinson-Thompson shot 3-under par on the final round.
Kyle Godsman registered a 4-under 68 on the last day of the intercollegiate. He posted a three-round tally of 225, tying for 46th.
Hayden Letien shot even par on the first and third days of the tournament. He wrapped up the event with a 227, tying for 52nd.
Drew McElveen was just two strokes behind Letien and tied for 62nd. He shot a 229 for the event while Andrew Ward garnered a 233. Ward’s best round of the tournament came on the final day when he shot 73.
Collectively, head coach Michael Carlisle’s team scored an 886. After opening with a 297-307 for the first 36 holes, the Pacers fired a 282 Tuesday afternoon.
Auburn won the event while South Carolina and the College of Charleston rounded out the top three.
The Pacers will play next on April 5 in Augusta.
