Lindsay Melissa Blanton of Columbia and Joshua Sebastian Colvin of Aiken were married on Sept. 21, 2013 at The O’donnell House in Sumter, SC. The bride was given in marriage by her father. The Rev. Ken Nelson officiated.
The bride is a daughter of Mike and Terri Blanton of Columbia, SC. She is a granddaughter of Jimmy and Evelyn Williams and Douglas and Miriam Blanton.
The bridegroom is a son of Keith and Julie Polk of Aiken and Jerry Jr. and Sandy Colvin of North Augusta. He is a grandson of William and the late Zora Harris, Phillip and Sandra Polk, Jerry Sr. and the late Cecilia Colvin and Joyce and the late Sam Hopper.
Griffyn Brown of Columbia was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Rebecca Jones of Columbia, friend of the bride; Mackenzie Areheart of Columbia, friend of the bride; Kayla Bingham of Columbia, friend of the bride; Kellie Bingham of Columbia, friend of the bride; and Jennifer Polk of Aiken, sister of the groom.
Deanna Williams, cousin of the bride, was the guestbook attendant.
Josh Scott of Columbia was the best man. Groomsmen were Ryan Pearson of Columbia, friend of the groom; Walter Cantwell of Mt. Pleasant, friend of the groom; Derick Glance of Aiken, cousin of the groom; Miguel Garcia of North Augusta, brother of the groom; Thomas Colvin of North Augusta, brother of the groom; Phillip Colvin of North Augusta, brother of the groom; and Coley Williams of Columbia, cousin of the groom.
Following a reception at The O’donnell House, the couple left for a wedding trip to Hilton Head.
They will reside in Cayce.
The bride is a 2010 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School. She is a graduate of Lander with a degree in public relations. She is employed by Howser Newman and Besley LLC.
The bridegroom is a 2003 graduate of South Aiken High School. He is a graduate of USC with a degree in physical education. He is employed by TD Ameritrade.
