The Hornets (8-1, 1-0 Region 5-AAAA) got goals from Billy Johns, Ian DeMass and Tucker Pimsner, and Bradley Cardona recorded a clean sheet with seven saves.
Aiken will play Dutch Fork on Tuesday.
South Aiken 1
Dutch Fork 0
Jessica Schifer scored the lone goal in the T-Breds’ victory. Avery Ofoje earned the assist and Mariah Gould had eight saves in the game.
South Aiken (3-1-2, 1-0 Region 5-AAAA) will play Lexington on Tuesday.
White Knoll 6
White Knoll shut out Aiken on Thursday night in girls’ soccer action. Makenzie Cude recorded 12 saves in the game. Aiken (1-3, 0-1) will play Dutch Fork Tuesday.
Fox Creek 13
Fox Creek (9-0, 3-0 Region 4-A) kept its perfect record intact with the win over Wagener-Salley (3-2, 2-2) on Friday.
Jesse Chavous got his first win of the year for the Predators, while the War Eagles’ Jarrett Berry took the loss.
Seven Predators had solid nights at the plate, led by Dalton Swires with a 3-for-4 effort that inclded a two-run home run. Brett Butler also had three hits, while Terrance Hillary, Darshon Broadwater, Forrest Whitfield and Corey Lucas had two hits each. Whitfield knocked in four runs, Hillary drove in two and Thomas Colvin added a solo home run.
Fox Creek will play today at 2 p.m. in a home game against region foe Ridge Spring-Monetta.
Silver Bluff 8
Silver Bluff (1-3, 1-2 Region 5-AA) got its first win of the year, with Tyler Hogg collected the victory on the mound.
Garrett Spires led the Bulldogs’ offense with a 3-for-4 night at the plate.
Silver Bluff will travel to play Midland Valley on Monday at 7 p.m.
South Aiken 8
White Knoll 7
Natalie Hornsby homered, and Emily Harley went 3-for-4 as the Thoroughbreds (3-7, 2-2 Region 5 AAAA) powered past White Knoll. Hannah Martin earned the victory in the circle. South Aiken will take on Barnwell Monday.
The junior varsity squad also claimed a 6-2 victory over White Knoll to move to 3-2 on the season. Carly Dempsey was the winning pitcher and went 2-for-3 at the plate. Natalie Bolen homered in the game.
North Augusta 16
The Yellow Jackets are now 6-3 on the season after the blowout victory. Meghan Whitfield was the winning pitcher.
Brooke Lavalee turned in a 3-for-4 performance while Carly Heath and Haley Dunbar each had two hits. North Augusta will play Dutch Fork Tuesday.
Fox Creek 6
Jada Simpson earned a win for the Predators over Wagener-Salley (3-2, 3-1 Region 4-A). Morgan Gunter was 2-for-4 at the plate for the Eagles. Wagener-Salley returns to action on Tuesday against Williston-Elko in Williston.
Ridge Sprinig-Monetta 4
The Wagener-Salley High School softball team posted a lopsided score in Thursday’s 19-4 win over Region 4-A rival Ridge Spring-Monetta. Morgan Foster (3-1) was the winning pitcher, and helped her own cause with a 3-for-4 hitting performance. Haley Hutto and Shania Jackson also went 3-for-4 in the win, with Jackson contributing two RBIs.
Although the score wasn’t close, this isn’t the War Eagles’ (4-1, 3-0) biggest win of the season. They scored a 34-2 victory over Hunter-Kinard-Tyler on March 14.
