Letter: Graham reveals true nature

It’s a beautiful thing when a politician shows his true colors.

Last week, U.S. Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., showed his true colors when – in reference to a bill to send aid to the Ukraine – he told Secretary of State John Kerry, “Hey John, good job. Let me know what I can do to help you with Boehner.”

Nevermind that few Republicans are keen on intervening in the current Russian-Ukrainian dispute. Nevermind that even fewer Americans can find it on the map. And nevermind that Graham is always in favor of spilling American blood and bankrupting the American treasury in pursuit of conflicts in faraway lands.

What is really incredible is Graham’s offer to knife fellow Republicans in the back on behalf of the worst administration in American history.

Does Graham think he’s helping South Carolina and the American people by going to bat for Obama and his cronies? Or is he once again carrying water for his super-militarist, wacko-bird buddy U.S. Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz.?

Whatever the reason, Graham’s accidental aside to Kerry reveals a lot about South Carolina’s senior senator. And what it reveals isn’t pretty.
