According to reports provided by the Aiken County Sheriff’s Office:
A Gaffney man reported on Sunday that a utility trailer had been stolen while it was parked on Horse Creek Road near Boyd Pond Road in Aiken.
A Florida man reported that someone backed a vehicle into the front of his vehicle in the parking lot of the Quality Inn on Frontage Road in Aiken. The unknown subject then left the scene. The responding officer observed damage to the hood, grill, front bumper and right headlight of the victim’s vehicle.
An Aiken man reported on Sunday that someone stole his 2004 Dodge flatbed truck while it was parked outside his home on Shiloh Church Road. The truck had tools and a C19 Glock 9 millimeter inside and a fuel tank mounted on its back.
A 26-year-old Graniteville woman was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence on Sunday after an incident at a home on Wickham Drive. The male victim said the woman pushed him in the face with both hands during an argument and cut his nose with a fingernail. He added that the woman bit him on the arm when he tried to subdue her by hugging her and holding on to her wrists.
An North Augusta woman reported on Sunday that a license plate was stolen from a vehicle she parked outside a home on Audubon Circle. She said someone also deflated the vehicle’s front and rear tires on the driver’s side.
An Aiken man reported on Sunday that someone stole his truck while it was parked outside of the Circle K on Hitchcock Parkway. The victim said he left the truck’s keys on the vehicle’s seat when he went inside the store to purchase some items.
A North Augusta woman reported on Sunday that someone entered her vehicle through an unlocked door and took the “Girl Scout” that was inside of her purse. The vehicle was in a parking lot on Augusta Road in Warrenville.
A burglary was reported at a home on Burnett Street in Warrenville on Sunday.
According to reports provided by the Aiken Department of Public Safety:
An employee of the Americas Best Value Inn on Whiskey Road reported on March 4 that residents in one of the rooms damaged bed linens by writing “RIP” messages on them.
An officer responding to an alarm on March 7 found small holes in a front glass window at Larry’s Plumbing and Irrigation on Richland Avenue. A small ball bearing also was found. The damage was estimated at $700.
An Aiken woman, who lives on Mimosa Circle, reported on March 7 that she paid a Graniteville man a $175 deposit for tree service on Feb. 19. He cut a tree limb in her backyard, but never returned to complete the rest of the work.
An Aiken woman who lives on Clark Road reported on Friday that a white male subject, 25 to 30 years of age, was damaging her home on Clark Road. The responding officer observed chips of paint missing from the frame of the back door and a small chip of paint missing from the base of a mailbox. The woman said the subject had a small skateboarder’s build and black “devil eyes.” She said the subject kept her up at night by using a xylophone to make noises.
An Aiken man, who lives on Hunters Run Drive, reported on Friday that someone was using email to try to transfer $5,000 from his account at Security Federal Bank to a Bank of America account in Florida.
A 19-year-old Aiken man was arrested and charged with criminal domestic violence on Friday following an incident at a home on Newberry Street. The 25-year-old female victim had “severe injuries to her face,” according to the responding officer. She was transported to Aiken Regional Medical Centers for treatment.
A 46-year-old Aiken man was arrested and charged with DUI following a traffic accident on Whiskey Road on Friday. He failed several field sobriety tests and refused to provide samples for breath, blood or urine testing.
An Aiken woman, who lives on Park Avenue, reported on Friday that she paid a man, who is known as “The Tub Doctor,” a $1,000 deposit on Jan. 6 to do some work in a bathroom. The check for the deposit was cashed on Jan. 7, and the woman has not been able to contact the man.
The son of a 72-year-old Aiken woman, who lives on Laurens Street, reported on Friday that $65,451.29 was missing from her Bank of America accounts. He also said that a table, two nightstands, a set of china dinnerware and three televisions that she owned also were missing.
An Aiken man reported on Friday that an unknown individual with a small caliber handgun jumped out from behind a tree on Union Street and confronted him. The subject told the victim to give him the red bag he was carrying. The victim dropped the bag and ran away. He then called 911. The bag had a box of chicken, a cellphone and a flash light in it.
A 23-year-old Aiken woman was arrested and charged with DUI on Saturday after the white Cadillac that she was driving failed to stop for a red light on Whiskey Road. She failed multiple field sobriety tests and she refused to submit a breath sample.
An Aiken man was arrested and charged with DUI on Saturday after his car he was driving drifted right and struck the curb on East Pine Log Road and then drifted back and crossed the center line. He failed multiple field sobriety tests. A breath test revealed a .14 percent blood-alcohol content.
An Aiken man reported on Saturday that someone broke the rear passenger side window of his vehicle while he was in McDonald’s on York Street.
An Aiken man reported on Saturday that someone stole electronic equipment from his apartment at The Colony at South Park on Greengate Circle. The missing items included a $2,500 computer and a 55-inch 3D flat screen television valued at $3,000.
An Aiken woman reported on Saturday that her cellphone and another cellphone owned by a juvenile were stolen from a table in the parking lot at Tyler’s Tire and Auto Center on Whiskey Road. The woman was waiting for her car to be washed.
A 20-year-old Aiken man was arrested and charged with DUI, possession of beer by a minor and having an open container on Saturday after the red Jeep he was driving was stopped on Richland Avenue because it had an expired sticker on the license tag. The man failed several field sobriety tests and there was a six-pack of beer on the Jeep’s floorboard. The man took a breath test, but the result wasn’t in the report.
An Aiken woman reported on Saturday that an XM satellite radio and a hand-held spotlight were stolen from a truck that her son had parked next to a baseball field on Rutland Drive.
An Aiken man reported that an address book that had veterinary information in it and an envelope with $160 in it were stolen from a vehicle parked on Horry Street. Another man saw two black male subjects in the vehicle.
A Charleston woman reported on Sunday that her wallet was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Gaston Street in Aiken. Inside the wallet were $380 in cash, two credit cards and the victim’s driver’s license and Social Security card.
An woman reported on Saturday that someone damaged the passenger side front door of a rental vehicle parked on Dibble Road on Saturday.
A juvenile reported on Sunday that someone broke into his vehicle while it was parked at Aiken High School on Rutland Drive. Missing were a book bag, three notebooks, two textbooks, a calculator and a pair of shoes.
An Aiken man reported on Sunday that someone broke into his house on Hill Avenue and stole a 42-inch Sony LCD television.
A New Jersey man reported on Sunday that someone stole $1,000 worth of tools in cases from the bed of his truck while it was parked outside the TownPlace Suites on Whiskey Road in Aiken.
