Two men are receiving treatment for gunshot wounds following an incident early Saturday morning in Warrenville.

The Aiken County Sheriff's Office responded to 145 Dudley Dr. at 3:13 a.m. and found two people, Christopher Thomas and James Milton, with apparent gunshot wounds.

The initial investigation revealed that some point after a domestic dispute between Thomas and his live-in girlfriend, Thomas returned to Milton's home where it is alleged he fired a weapon at Milton, according to Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Eric Abdullah. Milton returned fire with his weapon.

Both Thomas, 31, and Milton, 44, were transported to Georgia Regents University for treatment of their injuries.

This is still an ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
