WEDDING: Sampson – Rody
Amber Nicole Rody and Alan Kitrell Sampson, both of Charleston, South Carolina, were married Sunday, January 19, 2014, on the beach at The Ritz-Carlton in Naples, Florida. The bride was given in marriage by her father, Dr. Richard Brent Rody. The Reverend Doctor Fred W. Andrea performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Richard Brent Rody, MD of Spartanburg, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Arthur Rody, DDS and Mrs. Margaret Lou Rody of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. The bride is a 2013 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor Degree in Fine Arts. She is employed by West Frazer and Helena Fox Fine Arts of Charleston, South Carolina.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Edwin Sampson of Aiken. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Willis Kitrell Herndon and Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Mosely Sampson of Aiken. The groom is a 2012 graduate of Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and a 2013 graduate of Johnson and Wales University with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts. He is employed by Harris Teeter in Charleston, South Carolina.
The Matron of Honor was Cristina Jewellanne Rody of Dallas, Texas, sister-in-law of the bride. The Maid of Honor was Giovanna Christine Quattrone of Charleston, South Carolina, friend of the bride. Nicole Debra Hardy of Apex, North Carolina, friend of the bride, was the bridesmaid. The flower girl was Miss Lilla Mills Langley of Spartanburg, South Carolina, friend of the bride.
The Best Man was Scott Edwin Sampson of Seneca, South Carolina, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Patrick James Ballieu of Anderson, South Carolina, and Kenneth Schulyer McCormick Reardon of Charlotte, North Carolina, both friends of the groom. The ringbearer was Rees Nicklaus Rody of Dallas, Texas, nephew of the bride.
A reception followed the ceremony at the Beach House of The Ritz-Carlton. After the reception, the couple left for a wedding trip to Emerald Bay, Great Exuma, Bahamas. They will reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
